no name my new toy is my 3d scanner. first things first its pricy! on amazon i got it for $1,947.42 so just keep that in mind. This is a pretty small unit, i have pics for the size of it. i will also have a scan of something you you can see for yourself. This is really convenient being able to scan something, having all the measurements and shapes for anything. This scanner has some nice specs, you can full on edit a scan on the device if you want to. ill have a pick for the specs if you are interested. You can scan something small or even a full car if you want with this and its very accurate. there is a small calibration the you need to do every 7 days. 1 side is for small things and the other for big ones. you need you scan it at all angles then its all set. i picked up a lazy Susan to help scan things, i also added a bunch of IR stickers to help track everything. You can also get a can of spray to help get a powder on something to then scan them but a can of that is about 40 bucks. i learned that baby powder works the same tho. ya its a bit messy but i can deal with that. Once i have a scan of something i like you edit it on my computer rather then the device itself. I had to get a small drawing tablet so i can make this a lot easier. its a small one and was cheap but its just want it needed to make the process more intuitive. One thing that is really nice is that i can take multiple scans and put them on top of each other to fill in spots that might have been missed in the scanning process to get a full scan of what i need. while i have been typing this out i have been pulled away from the computer a few times form the boy so i hope i got everything explained for everyone. if there are any questions just ask ill do what i can.
